Get ready for the HSC!

Students will be taught and assisted by Anne and her team of native French teachers who have a wealth of experience teaching HSC students. We are all familiar with the curriculum of the Board of Studies and have experience working in schools in Sydney. We are helping students from different schools in Sydney such as Queenwood, Loreto Kirribilli, St Aloysius, Wenona, Redlands, among others.

COURSE CONTENT

The course will be explicitly designed to improve the student’s skills in all the components of the HSC.

However, we will mainly be working on the following:

• Reading and Responding part B
• Writing
• Listening

During morning tea, we will be revising the Speaking questions for about 30 minutes each day.

Students will be encouraged to hand in their writing tasks to be corrected.

OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this Boot Camp students will:
Feel more comfortable with the French HSC examination

• improve general French by being immersed in a French-speaking environment.
• Gain a personal understanding of the areas in which they need to improve upon before the HSC final examination.
• Understand the best practice approach to both the Listening and the Reading and Responding part B components.
• Have developed more relevant content for the Writing component.

SUITABLE FOR

Students preparing for HSC examination (beginners, continuers and extension)

There will be no more than 6 students maximum in each class.

FRENCH BOOTCAMP COST

The cost for the 9-hour Y12 French Holiday Boot Camp is $400.
All class material will be provided.
French morning/afternoon tea included!

Very small group classes with no more than 6 students per class.

PROOFREADING COST

We also provide proofreading services. The cost for proofreading HSC written tasks is $55 per hour. Materials should be sent via email on a word format. We will provide an annotated version of the text with suggestions and corrections included.
